About the Opportunity
A well-established, European-based software organization with a growing Canadian contingent of talent in Ottawa, is looking to add a Technical Manager, Site Reliability Engineering. Leading a small team of Engineers, this individual will adopt technical, strategic, and operational oversight of their SRE infrastructure and production environments in order to optimize system health, performance, scalability, and security. Above all, they value attitude and aptitude over the perfect technical fit.

About You
The successful candidate will have the following:

• Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Software/Computer Engineering Mathematics, Information Technology or equivalent
• 3+ years of management/leadership experience leading technical teams
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong background in SRE/DevOps/platform engineering and particular expertise with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.
• Technical proficiency in areas such as cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) scripting (Python, JavaScript, Bash, etc.), and tools such as Ansible, Helm, Terraform, Grafana, Prometheus, etc.
• Proven leadership acumen with experience managing globally-dispersed teams in a remote-heavy environment
