Role summary

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the incumbent plays an essential role within the Mechanical Engineering technical team and occupies a central position in the optimization of mechanical design processes as well as the realization of large-scale projects. He works closely with the various departments to ensure efficiency, quality and respect for deadlines.

Main responsabilities

Model conveyor and equipment design projects in 3D; Detail parts from 3D models; Participate in risk analyses to anticipate and mitigate safety and performance issues; Perform technical calculations and analyses to ensure the accuracy and reliability of results; Participate in the development of design standards, processes and procedures to ensure the consistency and efficiency of projects; Contribute to the training of new employees by creating training manuals and facilitating their integration; Review engineering documents to ensure compliance and consistency of designs; Provide technical support during the testing phases and participate in the validation of the tests and the installation in the field. ###

To be successfull in this role

Hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related training; Be a member of the Ordre des Ingenieurs du Quebec; Expertise in computer-aided design (CAD) with software such as Inventor; Experience in conveyor system design (an asset); Strong leadership and communication skills (FR-ENG); ###
