Technical It Consultant
Job Description
OfficePort is Atlantic Canada's world-class cloud services provider and hosting organization serving international and local clients across Canada and overseas. We are expanding our services in Atlantic Canada.
Based in Halifax, this remote position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled technical expert to apply their experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Desktops, and Security to support our clients and public cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in IT design, implementation, and operational support, with a proven technical track record.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Design, implement and support Microsoft-based solutions including 365 & Azure Design, implement and support cyber security solutions Migrate small/medium businesses to public cloud platforms Manage projects from planning to execution Maintain current documentation Provide ongoing day-today technical support (remote and on-site) Participate in occasional on-site customer visits (approximately 10% of time)(Preference given to candidates within a 45-minute commute to Halifax, NS)
Qualifications
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect certification would be a strong asset but is not a requirement Experience with Microsoft Azure is a strong asset Candidates without certification must be willing to obtain a Microsoft Certification within six months of hire (support provided) Strong understanding of customer service and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Working knowledge of switches and firewalls

Pay: $50,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
