PRIMARY FUNCTION:



The Technical Integration Architect is responsible for supporting the day-to-day maintenance and operations of the Lumeo system, as part of the Regional Health Information System (RHIS) for the South East Hospital Cluster. This includes overseeing integration activities, managing change processes, coordinating domain maintenance, and ensuring the stability, performance, and ongoing optimization of the system.



The Integration Architect works closely with regional stakeholders, Operations Managers, Oracle Health Hosting team, and other third-party vendors to evaluate and implement system changes, support new workflows and functionalities, and coordinate communications and testing activities to ensure smooth operations across domains.



Within this role the employee is accountable for contributing to the delivery of the Regional Health Information System (RHIS) strategy. As an employee, one must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for actively promoting and supporting patient and family centered engagement and care in all we do.


PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:



Integration Activities - Coordinate the design, testing, integration and maintenance activities across the system. Work with the integration team to execute the Lumeo domain strategy, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall roadmap and operational goalsConduct Oracle Health package reviews by prioritizing package installations, assessing known issues based on impact and severity, and ensuring packages align

with the scope of existing solutions and technologies
Coordinate the installation and testing of packages in both Non-Production and Production environments, ensuring smooth deployment and minimal disruption to operations.Coordinate domain refreshes, code upgrades, and technology modernization (e.g., Migration to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) with the Oracle Health Hosting team. Perform post-refresh domain preparation work and coordinate testing activities with the Lumeo operations team and partner organizations, as necessary. Evaluate changes proposed during internal Change Control meetings, ensuring impacted solutions are identified, relevant stakeholders are engaged, and changes are prioritized based on their impact. Manage the Change Control Board for the organization, conducting weekly meetings, collaborating with integrated teams, ensuring seamless and timely implementation of system changes, and coordinating clear communication to end users. Perform updates and system maintenance activities including application tier and database maintenance, by working closely with the Oracle Health Hosting team to ensure changes are implemented while managing impact to end users. Assist in evaluating the impact and scope of new system implementations and support their execution to meet evolving organizational needs. Support organizations in the region with interface build and testing. Act as escalation point for the operations team on system integration issues impacting the overall performance of the Lumeo system. Provide on-call support on a rotational basis if required. Conducts regular quality and system performance reviews, including details related to software, hardware, and database performance, leveraging Oracle Health tools such as Lights On Network (LON) and Advance. Work closely with the Regional operations team on design decisions. Perform leadership role when it comes to solution design in close collaboration with other team members.Participate in integrated solutions design discussion with the Regional Health Information System team members. Strong understanding of the Oracle Health Millennium data model and functional knowledge of Cerner Command Language (CCL). Actively participate in the Regional Technical Committee and bring updates there for regional visibility into key regional technical design and maintenance.




Project Management and Coordination - prioritizes projects focused on enhancing or optimizing the Regional Health Information System. Examples include:

Evaluate proposed Production changes from Oracle Health and approve changes in a timely manner, ensuring careful consideration of end-user impact and other technical work happening. This includes signing Process for Executing Customer Approval (PECA) authorization forms. Engage Oracle Health Incident Response Center or other emergency vendor support for critical issues, and lead bridge meetings to facilitate timely resolution by bringing together relevant stakeholders. Communicate with stakeholders regarding domain downtimes and system refreshes Work with all teams of the Regional Health Information System to understand the needs and requirements of integration across the entire system. Work closely with the operations managers to identify critical package upgrades and promotions for their respective solutions. Coordinate testing of new functionality within relevant Oracle Health solutions. Manage weekly meetings with the Operations team to support integration activities (e.g., Event Set Hierarchy, Discern Rules), and act as a central point of contact to the regional team. Document system issues and resolutions for future references (as applicable). Contribute and document procedures, guidelines, and project communications for clinical areas, attends on-going team meetings, monthly/ad hoc vendor and end-user meetings Identify and inform the technical supervisor and director about key issues and roadblocks that may need attention from senior leadership. Provide updates to stakeholders on progress of outstanding requests, explain issues/gaps where applicable. Manage relationships with clients by prioritizing requests, ensuring high quality deliverables, and following up on outstanding items




Communication and Risk Management:



Coordinate planned and unplanned system maintenance activities with the Regional Communications Coordinator to ensure organizations and governance bodies receive timely and accurate information.




Education and Learning

:

Coaches junior and new team members in their respective functions. Cross-trains team members on other clinical applications Maintains knowledge of technological advances Maintains knowledge of hospital workflows and operations that may impact the system. Identifies and informs operations managers of opportunities for optimizing the system to better support end-users, in conjunction with the stakeholders. Provides performance feedback Develop technical documentation and playbooks to support the operations team with technical activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:


Undergraduate Degree in Computer Informatics, Computer Science, Health Informatics or Related Discipline. Oracle Health Millennium Fundamentals certification required. 5+ years of experience focused on designing, configuring, and maintaining any HIS system with an understanding of hospital information systems or IT systems 3 years of this experience must be within an Oracle Health/Cerner Millennium HIS. Ability to identify and analyze issues and provide solutions using problem solving and analytical skills. Excellent prioritization, organizational skills, and project management methodologies, as demonstrated by the ability to manage own time and successfully complete multiple tasks and projects assigned simultaneously. Ability to communicate effectively--both orally and in writing--with all levels of stakeholders and management to provide efficient customer service. Demonstrated good judgment, decision-making and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with little direct supervision and within a team. Demonstrated skills in working with all levels of staff in an organization and the ability to work with external groups, agencies, and/or individuals. Knowledge of principles and methodology of systems development life cycle. Working knowledge of common MS-Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio). Demonstrated time management skill. Demonstrated multi-tasking skill. Demonstrated strong leadership and planning skill. Proven ability to attend work regularly. Satisfactory criminal reference check and vulnerable sector search required.
