Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY:



The Technical Director will provide expert oversight and direction to sound, lighting, videography, and other production related aspects of Lakeview Church; working closely and in conjunction with the Worship Pastor to help execute and advise on creative vision and direction for the church, maintain our technical assets, develop and equip skilled volunteers, and coordinating with the Director of Operations to manage facility use.

We are seeking to fill this position before the end of August, 2025. Applications will be open until a suitable candidate is found.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE:



Education - High School diploma Experience - 1 to 3 years experience managing production in comparable environments

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE:



Education - Certificate or diploma in a related post-secondary technical/production program. Experience - Management of Sound and/or Lighting in a large church setting (500+ people).

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:



Implementing Creative Vision - 20%



Oversee technical logistics to implement the creative vision for services. Develop systems and processes to sustain the creative vision. Collaborate on auditorium stage design with the Worship Arts Pastor. Oversee media asset creation to support worship services and ministry activities.

Managing Technical Assets - 25%



Oversee audio, lighting, graphic design, photography, and videography for all church functions. Develop and implement maintenance and repair schedules for all technical equipment. Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices; lead implementation of improvements that enhance technical operations. Develop and manage a long-term strategy to anticipate and meet the church's evolving technical and equipment needs. Maintain and develop relationships with vendors and service providers.

Develop and Manage Technical Teams - 25%



Recruit, develop, and equip volunteer teams and high-capacity leaders. Provide direction, training, and support for volunteers. Empower, coach, and delegate to increase volunteer capacity. Collaborate with technical contractors to build strong working relationships and a shared knowledge base. Supervise staff, volunteers, and contractors for audio, lighting, graphic design, photography, and videography. Train volunteers and staff in the use of physical and digital tools. (eg. Proclaim, ProPresenter, Dante, Onyx, Adobe Suite, Canva, DaVici Resolve, Atem, etc.)

Resource Internal Ministries & External Client Events - 20%



Ensure technical resources are in place for internal ministries and external client events. Build and maintain a network of tech contractors with a range of expertise to meet the needs of external events. Collaborate with the Director of Operations to assess client needs, allocate resources, and ensure successful event execution.

Major Events - 10%



Collaborate in the planning and execution of major church events and facility rentals. Coordinate production elements that enhance the vision and intent of large-scale events.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
