Job Description

At Behaviour, we believe the future of interactive experiences goes beyond screens.
We're looking for a Technical Director who can help us push the boundaries of what immersive experiences can be--whether they're enjoyed at home, on the go, or in physical spaces.

As Technical Director for our immersive and interactive projects, you'll be responsible for the technology strategy, system architecture, and technical coordination of projects that expand Behaviour's DNA beyond traditional video games.

You'll work closely with creative, UX, narrative design, production, and development teams to turn ambitious concepts into immersive experiences that are seamless, robust, and engaging.

What you'll do:



Define the technological approach for immersive projects (XR, interactive installations, hybrid environments); Lead and support a multidisciplinary technical team (developers, integrators, AV, QA, etc.); Participate in all project phases: ideation, prototyping, development, testing, installation; Collaborate with external partners and vendors to ensure the quality of technical deliverables; Facilitate client integration of solutions while maintaining close collaboration to understand needs, strengthen relationships, and ensure project success; Anticipate scalability, performance, and compatibility constraints (software, hardware, UX); Establish documentation, maintenance, and continuous improvement processes; Stay actively informed on emerging technologies (XR, haptics, spatial computing, interactive AI, etc.); Contribute to Behaviour's long-term vision in immersive experiences; Manage technical budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships; Oversee relationships with technical suppliers, integrators, manufacturers, and specialized freelancers.

What we're looking for :



8+ years of relevant experience in immersive, interactive, XR, or unconventional video game projects; Technical expertise in real-time game engines (Unreal Engine, Unity); Knowledge of interactive systems (sensors, computer vision, tracking, physical input); Strong understanding of hardware infrastructure: AV, networking, synchronization, spatial rendering, etc.; Excellent programming skills applied to immersive media (e.g., VR, AR, interactive environments, game engines); Proven experience managing technical teams (development, AV, R&D, integration); Ability to anticipate technical risks and propose concrete, realistic, and innovative solutions; Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to various stakeholders; Bilingual in French and English (international team and partners).

Ce que vous ferez:



Definir l'approche technologique des projets immersifs (XR, installations interactives, environnements hybrides). Encadrer et soutenir une equipe technique multidisciplinaire (developpeureuses, integrateurstrices, AV, QA, etc.). Participer a toutes les etapes des projets : ideation, prototypage, developpement, tests, installation. Collaborer avec les partenaires externes et fournisseurs pour garantir la qualite des livrables techniques. Favoriser l'integration des solutions aupres des clients tout en assurant une collaboration etroite afin de comprendre leurs besoins, renforcer la relation et garantir la reussite des projets. Anticiper les contraintes d'echelle, de performance et de compatibilite (logiciel, materiel, UX). Mettre en place des processus de documentation, maintenance, et amelioration continue. Assurer une veille active sur les technologies emergentes (XR, haptique, spatial computing, AI interactive, etc.). Contribuer a la vision long terme de Behaviour dans le domaine des experiences immersives. Gerer les budgets techniques, les echeanciers et les relations fournisseurs. Gerer les relations avec les fournisseurs techniques, integrateurs, manufacturiers et pigistes specialises.

Ce que nous recherchons :



8+ annees d'experience pertinente dans des projets immersifs, interactifs, XR, ou jeux video hors des sentiers battus. Expertise technique en moteurs de jeu temps reel (Unreal Engine, Unity). Connaissance des systemes interactifs (capteurs, computer vision, tracking, input physique). Comprehension solide des infrastructures materielles : AV, reseaux, synchronisation, rendu spatial, etc. Excellentes competences en programmation appliquee aux medias immersifs (ex. : realite virtuelle, realite augmentee, environnements interactifs, engins de jeux). Experience averee en gestion d'equipe technique (developpement, AV, R&D, integration). Capacite a anticiper les risques techniques et a proposer des solutions concretes, realistes et innovantes. Capacite a vulgariser les concepts techniques a differentes parties prenantes. Bilinguisme francais/anglais (equipe et partenaires internationaux).

En tant que Directeurtrice technique pour nos projets immersifs et interactifs, vous serez responsable de la strategie technologique, de l'architecture systeme et de la coordination technique de projets qui etendent l'ADN de Behaviour au-dela du jeu video traditionnel.

Vous collaborerez etroitement avec les departements creatif, UX, design narratif, production et developpement pour transformer des concepts ambitieux en experiences immersives fluides, robustes et engageantes.
