Your RoleAs a Technical Designer you will tap into your boundless creativity to contribute towards the design of unique environments, providing exemplar design knowledge from conception to completion of projects working across all design stages.As a Gensler Technical Designer you will collaborate with our Technical and Design Directors to develop design solutions as well as coordinate the design through the construction documentation phase of a project. You will be successful because you already know how to translate an architect\'s sketches and documents into realized 2D/3D models and images and can research artistic and/or technical issues when they arise. Your work ethic, combined with your commitment to collaboration and mentoring, makes Gensler the perfect place to nurture your career.What You Will DoParticipate in all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents and productionCollaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies, and other vendors to meet overall project objectivesResolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutionsProduce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawingsAssist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordinationContribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programsYour QualificationsBachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in ArchitectureLicensed Architect preferred, but not required.10-15 years of related experience, including proven ability to deliver projects from beginning to endExperience interpreting building code requirements in designs, coordination with consultants, and clear client communication during C.A.Revit proficiency is requiredProficient in the use of 2D/3D software, including Revit, BIM360, Octane, SketchUp , Lumion, Rhino, V-Ray, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator),Experience using and applying VR and/or AR as applicable to the architectural design process is a plusKnowledge of materials, construction techniques, and building codesStrong organizations skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same timeLEED accreditation a plusLife at GenslerAt Gensler, we design for people.
