Are you a Technical Buyer who has experience in Custom Machinery, Aerospace or Agricultural Machinery?
Do you have a Mechanical engineering diploma or certificate?
Do you have both raw and finished material purchasing experience?
If so, this may be the opportunity for you!
AppleOne has partnered up with a client in the Concord ON area to hire a Technical buyer on a full-time basis.
Role:
- Review, evaluate, and monitor department purchase requisitions for proper authorizations, specifications;
- Prepare and issue purchase orders to suppliers and sub-contractors on a daily basis for timely receipt of goods to meet customer/ project requirements;
- Procurement of all direct/indirect spend to support the company;
- Review and approve all purchase orders;
- Manage all contract purchases, cancellations, and re-schedule delivery dates in and out;
- Expedite open purchase orders for past due items and ensuring On-Time Delivery (OTD) for all purchases;
- Works with Engineering in support of new product introduction launches and prototype production builds;
- Act as Champion for ERP system implementation in supply chain department;
- Review and update demand signals as required to ensure proper supply/ demand elements are triggered in the order process system;
- Good communication skills
- Manufactured and machine parts buying, air craft, mechanical, heavy machinery
- Experience in custom machinery, Aerospace, Bagging machinery, wrappers, Agricultural machinery
- Will need someone to have raw and finished material purchasing experience
- Must be able to read engineering drawings and purchase raw and finished materials based off of the drawings
- Must have Mechanical engineering diploma or certificate
- Must be well versed with Mechanical knowledge
- Will be reporting to the Senior buyer
ERP System:
- They currently use SAP for Sales and Finance
- Must have experience with any ERP or MRP Systems
