PSA Halifax Limited Partnership (PSA Halifax) is a container terminal operator owned

and operated by PSA International. With natural deep water, capability to handle any sized

vessel, year-round ice-free access, and a management team with diverse international

experience, PSA Halifax is the container terminal of choice on Canada's East Coast.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a highly successful and leading container terminal operation in the East Coast of Canada. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Business Analyst to join our IT dynamic team.

Principal Accountabilities

Manage and maintain the master data set, developing reports, troubleshooting data issues, and ensuring data integrity. Acquire, clean, and organize data from multiple sources. Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques, providing ongoing and ad-hoc reports for decision-making. Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, and strategies to enhance data efficiency and quality. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in data. Implement machine learning, and AI methodologies to solve specific business challenges. Visualize data and present the findings to stakeholders. Engage with stakeholders across different teams to define priorities, translate business needs into data-driven strategies, and streamline processes for greater efficiency. Develop and deploy AI models and algorithms to meet the evolving needs of the organization.

Critical Qualifications/Skills/Experience

Diploma in Technology and/or Information Technology from a recognizable educational institution. At least 2+ years practical experience working in Information Technology. Experience working with Technical Systems in a Container Port is also considered an advantage. A combination of education, training and experience is also accepted. This position must have a deep understanding of computer administration processes, as well as easily learn and understand various types of software. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, persuasion skills, public speaking, negotiating skills; strong oral and written communicating skills; able to communicate with all levels of staff and management. Able to deal with a variety of differing customer demands/styles and challenges.

Work Environment:

Working in office facility with air conditioning Monitoring and visiting terminals operations on occasion, with exposure to mixed weather conditions, such as extreme heat, extreme cold, wind, rain, sleet, snow. Working in areas where noise is moderate. Position will be required to be accessible and able to respond to inquiries on a 24/7 schedule; and be prepared to act/direct operations at any time. PPE safety vest, safety glasses, hearing protection and CSA approved work boots while on any terminal area is always required.
