RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and communicate detailed business requirements through written documentation, process flows and use cases
Identify, trace, isolate and replicate problems and successfully conduct root cause analysis as required
Deliver highly detailed reproduction steps to developers for defects
Document, track and escalate issues as appropriate, and maintain knowledge base
Communicate status, open issues and issue resolution to project teams and manager in a timely manner
Participate in the analysis, design, implementation and ongoing support requirements and prepare accurate testing estimates
Provide advice on the testing strategy, test plans, the selection of testing tools, and the identification of resources required for testing.
Plan and organize testing efforts that incorporate all of the activities required to effectively test the system, e.g. regression testing, systems integration testing, stress testing, user acceptance testing etc
Create and execute test plans to ensure development outputs meet defined business requirements and technical specifications
Write test cases and update test cases on requirement updates
Compose manual and automated test scripts for new and existing functionality
Execute test cases and document the results
Coordinate and facilitate regular defect review meeting with stakeholders, and provide defect status reports
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
B.COMM, BS, Computer Science or equivalent
Strong background in, and at least 2+ years of working in QA
2+ years experience in functional analysis and business requirements identification
Some experience in bug tracking tools
Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills; excellent English language verbal and written communication skills
Scripting (perl, javascript, jquery), JSON, XML, SQL, data migration and upload, web services
Demonstrated understanding of complex e-commerce businesses
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects
Articulate, detail oriented, hard-working, team player being able to work under pressure
Inventory/distribution/logistics industry experience is a plus.
