As a Technical Animator, you will actively participate in the development of our productions.
You will work closely with animators, technical artists, designers, and programmers, by supporting and developing gameplay prototypes, and by maintaining and improving existing animation and rigging pipelines.

What will you do?

  • Work within a cross-disciplinary team to establish, maintain and improve animation pipelines and procedures
  • Develop tools, write documents and support animators and other team members
  • Work on secondary and procedural systems such as AnimDynamics, cloth simulation, and ragdolls
  • Create plug-ins and/or scripts to automate tasks
  • Work with all aspects of the animation export and implementation pipeline
  • Work with animators to resolve any roadblocks to their workflow
Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of character rigging (body and facial), performance capture processes, data manipulation and in-game animation systems and methodologies
  • Advanced knowledge of Maya, MotionBuilder, or similar 3D software
  • Experience building animation systems such as Animation Blueprints, Mecanim, Morpheme, or comparable systems
  • Experience managing and updating animation pipeline tools
  • Good understanding of animation concepts such as layering, blending, and motion matching
  • Strong creative and technical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a team environment
  • Good communication skills and able to collaborate across multiple locations effectively
  • Scripting skills with leading 3D applications (Maya, MEL, Python, etc.)
  • Fluency in English required
It would be great if you:
  • Have past experience(s) with AAA game development
  • Have a previous experience with Unreal Engine (blueprint)
  • Have experience creating state machines and setting up gameplay logic (blueprint)
  • Have understanding of object oriented programming
