About the Technical Analyst ll role


Alcool NB Liquor is seeking a full-time Technical Analyst II with a focus in Identity and Endpoint Management. This role will support both ANBL and CNB by providing support to system operations across the corporate head office and over 70 retail locations. Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, the Technical Analyst II is responsible for identifying, implementing, and troubleshooting solutions to enhance system reliability and stability, while reducing rework through automation.

Additional Responsibilities

Identity Management & Access control; advanced configuration and management of Active Directory (AD), Azure Active Directory (AAD) and hybrid identity solutions Providing expertise in Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) and tools such as Autopilot for deploying configuring and securing devices Image creation and deployment: proficiency in creating, customizing and deploying Windows OS images using MDT (Microsoft Deployment Toolkit) and configuration manager Identifying, scheduling, and managing software and hardware upgrades, software patches, and configurations Managing and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring system integrity, security, and accessibility Multifactor Authentication (MFA) and conditional access policies, implementation, and troubleshooting of MFA, conditional access policies, and zero trust principles. Design and implementation of GPO for security, software deployments and end user configurations Managing and maintaining remote support and privileged access management solutions Creation of dashboards and other reporting metrics for Endpoint Compliance reporting Managing the configuration of operating systems, and administration for workstations, and point of sale end points PowerShell and scripting; automation of administrative tasks, system configurations, and bulk operations using advanced scripting techniques Application Proxy Administrator, Group Policy Admin, Azure Role Administrator, Entra Role Administrator Responding immediately to security or usability concerns Anticipating potential problems and taking action to solve them before they impact users when possible Testing software and reviewing application logs Maintain an inventory of all configuration items

What do you need to be successful?

Degree or diploma in Computer Science or Information Systems While a formal degree or diploma is preferred, we value practical experience and are open to considering candidates with equivalent experience in lieu of educational qualifications. 7+ years in a system/network administration role in a medium, large, or enterprise environment Experience maintaining essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware Strong ability to create and maintain clear, detailed technical documentation, standard operating procedures Extensive experience in Microsoft Server environments, including hybrid Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and GPO

Would be an asset if you had:

Experience with retail environment technologies and standards, including PCI/DSS Relevant Microsoft certifications, including Microsoft Certified in Azure, servers, and cloud services - Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Red Hat Certified System Administrator, CompTIA Server+ and VMware Certified Professional ITIL certification Experience with Dynamics 365 Experience with business continuity/disaster recovery

Work location:

The Retail Operations Centre is located in Fredericton, New Brunswick. The successful candidate must be based in New Brunswick, remote work is possible. Semi-regular travel for meetings and project work may be required.
