Description of Duties

- Assist RVT's with animal restraint, procedure set up and clean up
- Wrapping and autoclaving surgery packs
- Clean and sterilize equipment and instruments
- Maintain cleanliness of clinic
- Reception duties such as filing, booking appointments, other clerical duties
- Answer phones and assist clients
- Other tasks as required

Requirements

- Experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital an asset
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Ability to handle animals with care and compassion
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

About The Role:

We are looking for an entry level or experienced Tech Assistant to join our team at the Douglas Square Pet Clinic. You ideally have great communication skills, great work ethic and teamwork skills. Experience in the veterinary industry is an asset, however, we will train the right candidate. The wage on offer will be commensurate with your experience and can be discussed at interview.

Expected Working Hours:

We expect the schedule to be 3 weekday afternoon shifts. (Likely Wed-Fri: 1p-5/6p) and Saturdays (8a-5p)

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
