Overview

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting cafe environment, and providing outstanding customer service. Your role will be essential in ensuring that every customer leaves with a smile and a delicious drink.

Duties

Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages according to established recipes and standards. Operate POS systems, including Aloha POS and Micros POS, to process customer orders efficiently. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Maintain cleanliness of the cafe area, including food preparation surfaces, equipment, and dining areas to adhere to food safety standards. Assist in food preparation and serving, ensuring all items are fresh and presented well. Handle cash transactions accurately while following cash handling procedures. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and support each other during peak hours.

Experience

Previous barista experience or experience in the food service industry is preferred. Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and knowledge of various coffee types is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math applications. Experience using POS systems is beneficial; familiarity with Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in food safety and preparation practices. Pay: $16.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
