Agricorp has an exciting opportunity for an experienced
Team Leader, IT Portfolio
to join the Enabling Services department in our Information Technology division.
In this position you will lead a team of software developers and testers to ensure the successful completion of software development and operational activities in a variety of systems used to deliver programs and services that support Ontario's agri-food industry. The Enabling System portfolio includes a number of .Net based web applications, the latest Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software platforms, as well as a SharePoint based customer documents management system.
The Team Leader will also collaborate with Application Architects, Designers and Business Analysts in user story reviews, system design, development and implementation of new capabilities as well as supporting maintenance enhancements and production support.
The Role
The
Team Leader, IT Portfolio
- Enabling Services will be responsible for defining and coordinating work priorities for the team in the delivery of assigned projects and system enhancements, as well as operational system activities and resolution of production problems. In addition, you will:
Provide leadership to system developers and testers for the timely and effective delivery of projects and production support activities using your strong communication and people management skills
Provide coaching and mentoring to the team, develop learning goals and ensuring their ongoing professional development through training
Develop annual performance objectives, support individual team member's development plans and conduct performance reviews
Act as a resource to the development and design team to ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables
Understand priorities, establish related success metrics and coordinate across the team, reporting progress and risks to the manager on an on-going basis
Ensure standards, procedures and processes are followed to support production and operational activities
Set and maintain development standards, conduct walkthroughs and review technical specifications
Provide hands-on technical support to the team, as required

$43.24 - $50.86

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computers, math, engineering or equivalent experience
Experience in system development life cycle - prefer 5+ years
Minimum of 1-2 years of team supervisory and coaching experience required
3 years .Net development or ARCGIS platform 10.9 (ESRI product) VertiGIS
Experience in data analysis with strong analytical skills to identify and address software issues
Experience in system integration and data synchronization
Experience with Agile methodology and Jira for task and work management
Experience in code review, test code coverage and release management, an asset
