What is the opportunity?
In this role, you will be responsible for acting in a leadership capacity within the entire Income North America team. This includes reviewing end to end Income processing, treatment, and processing of exception securities and, high risk income events. In this role you will develop processes and procedures to mitigate operational risk, reduce cost and look for opportunities to improve operational efficiency. You will need to lead and direct the team for day-to-day operations while also operating as the first point of escalation for junior staff and act as a delegate for the Team Manager in times of absence
What will you do?
Provide support to the income team(s) with their daily activities, while ensuring correct allocation of tasks to the appropriate teams for analysis and resolution.
Support the Entitlements business unit in achieving trend analysis of processing exceptions and reconciliations related investigation.
Timely resolution of escalations and or the identification of any potential financial or client impacted issues that require further escalation to management.
Ensuring all queries are responded to within the established time frames
Thoroughly analyze and investigate all issues to fully understand future and downstream impacts.
Act as intermediary between the Entitlements business unit and other units on all income related items, including reconciliations issues.
Pre-balancing all problematic payments, this includes reviewing lending / trading activities.
Training of staff (new processes, new staff)
What do you need to succeed?
Must haves:
Knowledge of the Canadian/US Markets
Attention to detail
Experience with BaNCS applications
Ability to prioritize
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
Nice-to-have:
Leadership skills
Experience with Claims
Experience with BaNCS application
Good judgment in evaluating risks
