Lead high-complexity projects across North America and internationally, ensuring field services are executed safely, efficiently, and profitably. Serve as the senior operational interface with strategic clients and internal stakeholders, contributing to scalable field execution practices, team leadership development, and technical field excellence. Support organizational growth by mentoring project teams and ensuring alignment with IGS's strategic and operational priorities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead execution of high-value or strategically critical projects with full accountability for safety, customer satisfaction, and financial outcomes
Serve as lead customer contact and IGS representative on key accounts or multi-phase project programs
Support and guide Project Managers and Team Leaders to ensure project readiness, compliance, and consistency in field execution
Conduct operational and resource planning in collaboration with Sales, Engineering, and Manpower teams
Review and approve scopes, estimates, and schedules for strategic projects prior to field deployment
Oversee execution standards for site safety, quality control, team productivity, and adherence to IGS processes
Lead job site kickoff meetings, customer inspections, and issue resolution in coordination with field teams
Escalate and resolve project risks proactively to maintain project integrity and customer trust
Ensure client and field-facing documentation is executed accurately including change orders, billing support, and closeout packages
Monitor and enforce alignment with IGS safety culture and compliance standards
Conduct detailed post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and ensure continuous improvement across the execution team
Provide mentoring, coaching, and leadership development to Project Managers and Team Leaders
Collaborate with senior leadership in identifying execution gaps and recommending scalable operational improvements
Identify new project opportunities during execution and collaborate with Sales and Strategy to capture follow-on work
Support technical training and field readiness programs by providing insight into execution needs and team performance trends
Skills and Abilities Required:
Extensive experience in complex project execution across energy, industrial, or field services sectors
Strong leadership and mentoring ability in high-pressure, multi-location environments
Advanced knowledge of project planning, execution control, cost tracking, and scope management
Excellent interpersonal skills for high-level customer and cross-functional engagement
Strong technical understanding of IGS services and client asset challenges
Familiarity with inspection processes, customer standards, and quality assurance protocols
Advanced analytical and decision-making abilities with an emphasis on accountability and data-driven performance
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, project scheduling tools, and execution management systems
Ability to meet client pre-access requirements including site qualifications, background screenings, and drug testing
Flexible to travel extensively and lead field teams as needed
Contacts:
Daily contact with regional Project Managers, Team Leaders, and Operations leadership
Direct interaction with key client representatives during all project phases
Regular updates and alignment with SVP Operations and executive leadership
Decision/Judgment:
Operates with a high degree of independence in executing strategic project and client initiatives
Makes field-level and commercial decisions in real time to support safe and effective job execution
Determines readiness of teams and project scopes to ensure successful outcomes
Drives improvements in execution practices and team structure across global field services
Provides senior-level insight into operational strategy, resource planning, and risk mitigation
Decisions are guided by a general understanding of the company's mission, vision, IGS Way Values framework, standards of operation and mutually determined strategies and objectives
Effort/Working Conditions:
Role requires significant travel to client sites, domestic and international
Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, or holidays during critical execution periods
Physical activity including walking job sites, inspecting work areas, and engaging in hands-on field support
High physical effort and high level of physical exertion is required for this position
Job is performed in a challenging environment in various client facilities which includes but are not limited to refineries, paper mills and power plants in both the USA and International locations
The work environment is typically dusty due to the nature of materials handled. Must be comfortable working in such conditions and wear personal protective equipment as required
Work is generally performed in a confined space with extreme temperature variations
Regular attendance is essential for satisfactory performance in this position, reliability is required
Moderate/high degree of danger associated with job
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field, or equivalent knowledge
Minimum 7-10 years of project management experience in field services or industrial execution roles
Demonstrated success leading multi-million-dollar, multi-phase projects
Proven experience in client relationship management and operational team leadership
