We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Team Leader to join our retail management team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail sales and team management, with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse group of employees. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales performance while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage team members to achieve sales goals and maintain high standards of customer service. Train, develop, and mentor staff to enhance their skills and performance in various roles including cashiering, merchandising, and customer service. Conduct interviews and participate in the recruiting process to build a strong team. Manage payroll processes and ensure accurate timekeeping for all employees. Oversee inventory management, including purchasing, pricing strategies, and merchandising displays. Maintain effective communication with team members regarding store policies, procedures, and promotions. Implement marketing strategies to drive store traffic and increase sales. Handle cash transactions accurately while ensuring compliance with cash handling policies. Utilize strong organizational skills to manage administrative tasks such as bookkeeping and budgeting effectively. Foster a collaborative environment by encouraging teamwork and open communication among staff.

Requirements

Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles with a focus on team leadership. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve conflicts effectively. Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus for enhancing customer interactions. Proficient in POS systems and retail operations including cash handling and sales management. Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette and interpersonal relations. Strong time management abilities to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with training & development practices to support employee growth. Basic math skills required for budgeting, pricing, and payroll calculations. Administrative experience is preferred for managing store operations smoothly.
