Purpose:

Crescent Point Energy is currently seeking a Team Lead, Surface Land Assets to work within our Surface Land Team. The position will be based in Calgary and be responsible for overseeing a team of land analysts who focus on evaluating and managing surface land assets for Alberta and Saskatchewan along with Road Use and Third Parties.

Main Responsibilities & Activities:

  • Provide Leadership and Mentorship of the Surface Land Analyst, assigning tasks, setting goals, and providing guidance and mentorship
  • Provide regular reports and updates to the Manager, Surface Land
  • Manage workload distribution and projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Continuously review and implement best practices and process improvements within the land analyst team to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Review and provide feedback on any agreements and files being considered for Acquisitions and Divestments from a Surface perspective
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to land transactions and agreements, within CS Land
  • Assist and provide guidance on Abandonments, Renewals of Surface Agreements, Surface Rentals, Road Use and Third-Party Agreements
  • Code and approves invoices or cheque requests as required
  • Review and audit land project acquisition packages
  • Collaborate with key internal groups responsible for engineering, land, drilling, completions, facilities, and development
  • Attend appropriate external and internal meetings
  • Manager Surface Land Hotline, Spin II Account and ISC Account
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • 10-15 years of Surface Land Experience and preference will be given to those with previous Lead experience
  • Graduated of a recognized post-secondary Land program preferred, or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Extensive working knowledge of surface land procedures, relevant land legislation and regulations
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to identify issues, analyze data, and develop effective solutions
  • Effective project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
