Overview:

Hexagon\'s Autonomy & Positioning division is looking for a Team Lead, Software Test Engineering to join our high-tech engineering company. You will supervise and guide a team of software test designers responsible for testing Hexagon positioning services and products. Working closely with our Functional Manager, you will play a key role promoting and implementing modern test engineering best practices and technologies with our project teams and coordinating activities across the test engineering teams. Applying your extensive background and hands-on testing strategies and lifecycle skills, you will influence and support the team\'s success in creating test plans, test designing, and execution of automated and manual test suites. Responsibilities:


  • Create, update and peer-review system, integration and feature test plans, test designs, test execution and test result analysis and train others on these areas and supervise deliverables for both manual and automated tests written in Python

  • Document and communicate test artifacts and results to stakeholders

  • Oversee test prime/test lead responsibilities and train and lead software test designers on deliverables

  • Prioritize work streams for junior SW test designers

  • Lead Process changes in alignment with our global Test Eng Community of Practice

  • Liaise between projects and functional managers by providing technical guidance, support and leadership to junior SW test designers
  • Domestic and international travel up to 10% of the time is possible

  • Work in an open and fully collaborative global work environment




Must Have:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a similar discipline, and/or related work experience
  • 3+ years hands-on experience supporting verification and validation testing of SW and integrated HW products under development
  • 2+ years supervisory experience, training and mentoring others
  • Excellent analytical skills and be able to produce high-quality testing reports, procedures, and other similar documentation
  • Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and vehicle
  • Valid passport for international travel
  • May require work availability outside of regular business hours

Nice-to-Have
:
  • Experience with test automation and/or worked within a formal software testing environment
  • Background scripting with Python
  • Knowledge of ISO Quality Standards and/or ASPICE
  • ISTQB or similar advanced certification
  • GPS or GNSS work-related verification experience or knowledge of GPS/GNSS technology and products
