Could It Be You?The Team Lead will be responsible for the people management of a software engineering team focused on maintaining and further developing our GenAI core platform. This involves leading a team of software engineers through all stages of the Agile software development life cycle, from inception to implementation, with a focus on developing a functionally rich, scalable, robust, and user-friendly platform.This person will collaborate with Data Science, UI/UX, product, and business teams to deliver business value specifically related to the GenAI core platform. The ideal candidate for this role should be able to thrive in dynamic environments, have a strong work ethic, positive energy, the ability to innovate in the field of GenAI, and good communication skills.Need more details? Keep readingxe2x80xa6In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:Providing mentoring to team members to assist them in reaching their career goals, including performing 1:1 sessions with them on a regular basisDo the performance reviews of the engineering teamManage promotions and career path of team membersWork to unblock the team, assuring the deliverables committed by themAddressing team member performance issues in a timely mannerApplying significant knowledge of industry trends to help Questrade improve and build innovative products.Coordinating external software development teams and vendors to define requirements and validate outputs.Planning, designing and coordinating software development activities and mitigating the technical risks throughout the software development lifecycle.Reviewing code to ensure quality and correctness of solutionsEnhancing and modifying existing applications as needed to add new features or improve user-experienceMeeting regularly and interacting with a diverse team of business stakeholders, UI/UX designers, architects and engineers to elicit and define requirements for new applications.Playing an active role in defining and implementing best practices, standards and procedures including quality and delivery methodologiesParticipating in and contributing to all Agile Scrum ceremoniesLeading the support efforts of the application in production, addressing issues in a timely fashion in order to meet SLAsDeveloping and debugging code as well as writing automated tests for back-end services and web applicationsSo are YOU our next Team Lead, Software Engineering GenAI & AI Applications? You are if youxe2x80xa6Degree, diploma or equivalent directly related work experience.Minimum 7 years of experience in web-based technologies.Exposure to the full software development life cycle, including design, configuration, integration, testing and support including, but not limited to, gathering requirements, designing the future state solution, the development work breakdown, as well as supporting quality assurance and post-production efforts.Preferred technical stack:Data: BigQuery, MongoDB, Redis Cache, SQL Server, MemSQL.Back-end: .Net core and PythonStreaming: Google Pub/Sub, Kafka.Infrastructure: Google Kubernetes Engine, and other Google Cloud Platform components, MongoDbTools: Gitlab, Jira, Confluence, preferably automated CI/CD.

• Experience with unit testing frameworks.

Strong skills at performance application tuning.Have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills and the ability to interact with multiple levels of stakeholders.Strong documentation, analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent time-management and organizational abilities that facilitate structured teamwork.Experience leading projects and other engineersAbility to work under minimal supervision.Ability to adapt and change based on new business requirements and environment.Additional kudos if youxe2x80xa6Experience with GenAI and Data Science is a bonus.Digital financial services experience preferred.Sounds like you?
