We\xe2\x80\x99ve partnered up with a company in the ed-tech space, providing virtual reality tour experiences for college and university students across North America. A product with a high level of traffic, it has been adopted by over 1000 different institutions to date.
A 100% remote role in Ontario, this team is looking to add a Team Lead who is skilled in Scala, Akka and/or Play frameworks, Spark, and who has some foundational knowledge/experience with Java and AWS cloud.
You will also be someone with 4-6 direct reports, taking a part of your time to oversee overall project goals and lead staff to success.

- Bachelor of Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent educational accomplishments
- Experience with Kafka as a tool is a plus
- 70% Scala, partial work with Java as application needs to be migrated fully
- 30% Cloud, AWS and related technologies
- 70% Hands On
- 20% Management Duties
- 10% Team Collaboration
