We're looking for a

Lead, Development

, to help us build and lead a high-performance team that solves challenging engineering problems as we build the next generation of social products. You will support the Director, Development to hire, grow, coach, and lead a small team of developers to build, scale, monitor, and optimize backend infrastructure and core client-facing web applications used daily by all Hootsuite users.



WHAT YOU'LL DO:




Build, support and lead a high performance, cohesive team of developers, in close partnership with the Director, Software Development Facilitate ongoing development conversations with your team to support their learning and career growth Proactively share information, actively solicit feedback, and facilitate communication, within teams and portfolios Participate in the hiring process, with an aim of attracting and hiring the best developers Assess and prioritize the team's work, appropriately delegating to others and encouraging team ownership. Maintain high standards of security, reliability, scalability, performance, and quality in all delivered projects Help shape our technical roadmap as we scale our services and build new products Design, write, test, and deploy high quality scalable code



WHAT YOU'LL NEED:




Ample years of software development experience with a demonstrated increase in responsibility Hands-on experience mentoring and coaching others Hands-on experience with design and development of highly scalable web services, data pipelines and SaaS systems You are proficient in at least one programming language such as Go, Python, or Java Experience working with large datasets for analysis, investigation, and processing Open Communication: clearly conveys thoughts, both written and verbally, listening attentively and asking questions for clarification and understanding Excellent collaboration skills - working with other Development Teams, as well as Design and Product Management to establish areas of delivery Builds inclusive, cohesive teams which apply diversity to achieve common goals Capably delivers results through others, is good at establishing clear direction, helping others achieve their best work Identifies key issues and relationships relevant to achieving a long-range goal or vision; Builds an integrated plan for course of action to accomplish this vision Challenges and supports others to create results but also develop new capabilities. pour nous aider a constituer et diriger une equipe performante capable de resoudre des problemes d'ingenierie complexes, tout en construisant la prochaine generation de produits sociaux. Vous soutiendrez le/la Directeur(trice) du developpement dans le recrutement, l'encadrement, la croissance et le coaching d'une petite equipe de developpeurs, afin de concevoir, faire evoluer, surveiller et optimiser l'infrastructure backend et les applications web principales utilisees chaque jour par tous les utilisateurs de Hootsuite.


VOS RESPONSABILITES :




Construire, soutenir et diriger une equipe performante et soudee de developpeurs, en partenariat etroit avec le/la Directeur(trice) du developpement logiciel. Animer des conversations continues de developpement avec votre equipe afin de soutenir leur apprentissage et leur evolution de carriere. Partager proactivement l'information, solliciter activement des retours et faciliter la communication au sein des equipes et des portefeuilles. Participer au processus de recrutement, afin d'attirer et d'embaucher les meilleurs developpeurs. Evaluer et prioriser le travail de l'equipe, deleguer de maniere appropriee et encourager la prise de responsabilite collective. Maintenir des standards eleves en matiere de securite, fiabilite, evolutivite, performance et qualite dans tous les projets livres. Contribuer a faconner notre feuille de route technique a mesure que nous developpons nos services et concevons de nouveaux produits. Concevoir, ecrire, tester et deployer du code evolutif de haute qualite.

CE QUE VOUS APPORTEZ :




Plusieurs annees d'experience en developpement logiciel avec une progression demontree des responsabilites. Experience pratique en mentorat et en coaching. Experience concrete en conception et developpement de services web hautement evolutifs, pipelines de donnees et systemes SaaS. Maitrise d'au moins un langage de programmation tel que Go, Python ou Java. Experience de travail avec de larges ensembles de donnees pour l'analyse, l'investigation et le traitement. Communication ouverte : exprimer clairement vos idees, tant a l'oral qu'a l'ecrit, ecouter activement et poser des questions pour clarifier et comprendre. Excellentes competences de collaboration - travailler avec d'autres equipes de developpement, ainsi qu'avec la conception et la gestion de produit pour definir les priorites de livraison. Capacite a batir des equipes inclusives et cohesives qui valorisent la diversite pour atteindre des objectifs communs. Capacite a obtenir des resultats par l'intermediaire des autres, a donner une direction claire et a aider chacun a donner le meilleur de lui-meme.
