We are currently soliciting letters of interest for an Environmental Services Site Investigation, Remediation & Response (SIRR) Team Lead position for Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Reporting to the Operations Lead, the Team Lead will be an integral part of the Business Centre's leadership team in using skills to mentor and grow a highly capable and motivated team, while ensuring we provide results that go above and beyond our clients' expectations.

Your Key Responsibilities
Providing senior guidance and review on project deliverables
Pursuing and leading project efforts within the Site Investigation, Remediation & Response team
Managing projects in various sectors, including oil and gas, manufacturing, mining, power, transportation, commercial and government
Leading proposal development, including the development of work plans, scopes, and budgets
Participating in (when required) marketing and business development meetings
Establishing, building, and maintaining client relationships
Identifying areas for improvement in technical delivery and working with leadership to improve the technical competencies of the team
Collaborating with other scientific and engineering professionals within the broader Stantec community
Team Lead Responsibilities:
Manage the resourcing and development of the Thunder Bay SIRR team
Supervise staff and help with career development
Collaborate with the other SIRR Team Leaders in the Business Centre (i.e., Manitoba and Saskatchewan) so that the collective SIRR team is working well together and all projects across the Business Centre and beyond are well supported
Chair regular team meetings & share information
Embrace and lead Stantec's safety culture within your team
Support the team to ensure they meet their respective utilization target
Assist in the development of quality Standard Operating Procedures
Encourage a culture of innovation in the team
Inspire collaboration and cross-training
Attract, grow, and retain high quality staff
Coach team members
Perform Year End Performance Reviews for team members
Participate in and manage project work
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Experience
Leadership experience and commitment to Stantec values including inclusion and diversity
Experience in or a solid understanding of the consulting industry in a multidisciplinary environment
Technical proficiency in site investigation, remediation, and spill response work
Proficient in the understanding and application of Ontario and federal environmental legislation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in planning and executing projects with limited supervision
Ability and willingness to travel when needed
Education and Qualifications
Bachelor's and/or master's degree in environmental sciences, geoscience, or engineering.
Minimum 8 years of direct experience in the SIRR discipline. A valid P.Geo. or P.Eng. licence in Ontario is a definite asset.
A valid driver's license and ability to travel as required to meet with members of your team who may reside outside your home location.
Typical office environment working with computers. Remote and hybrid working arrangements may be considered. May occasionally visit sites and/or be exposed to outside elements and inclement weather conditions.
