Position Overview:



We're hiring an experienced, organized, and hands-on

Team Lead

to oversee daily move operations. You'll be responsible for supervising both packing and moving crews, coordinating logistics, communicating directly with clients, and ensuring every job runs smoothly, safely, and on time. This role combines leadership, physical work, problem-solving, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities



Leadership & Coordination:



? Lead and supervise a team of movers and packers on-site
? Ensure team is operating efficiently, safely, and respectfully at all times
? Communicate clearly with seniors and families to understand their needs and concerns
? Drive the pace of the job while maintaining quality and professionalism
? Correct improper wrapping, packing, or loading practices in real time
? Maintain accurate tracking of inventory and client-specific items
? Follow and enforce standard move-day schedules and timelines
? Represent Genie's brand, values, and service standards with pride

Logistics & Hands-On Work:



? Efficiently load and unload 16'-18' trailers, distribute weight evenly, and protect items in transit
? Drive truck and trailer combination to and from job sites (Class 5 license required)
? Safely operate hand tools and drills for disassembly/reassembly tasks
? Mount/unmount TVs, picture frames, basic shelving, etc.
? Perform light installation and furniture reassembly on both ends of the move
? Prep and check move materials and supplies each morning based on job size and scope
? Ensure truck/trailer are cleaned and restocked after each job

Safety & Accountability:



? Enforce safe lifting, transport, and wrapping procedures
? Act as the on-site safety representative for your crew
? Identify and resolve risks or hazards during jobs
? Ensure proper use of equipment, tools, and protective materials
? Maintain a professional, supportive environment for your team

Requirements:



Valid Class 5 driver's license (required) Clean criminal record check (required) Experience driving a truck/trailer combo (asset) First Aid certification (strong asset) Prior experience in household moving, relocation, or logistics Confident with tools and minor installations Familiar with proper packing, wrapping, and securement techniques Able to lift 75+ lbs and perform physical work throughout the day Available full-time, with flexibility for occasional weekends and overtime

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $21.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
