We're looking for a hands-on sales leader who loves to roll up their sleeves, lead by example, and bring out the best in their team. As a player-coach, you'll balance your own client portfolio with coaching, mentoring, and supporting a high-performing sales team -- helping us reach new heights together.
Business Development Team Leadership
Drive business growth through the Business Development team by:
Providing regular ongoing coaching (role plays, joint sales calls, 1:1/team meetings, funnel quality reviews)
Determining, tracking and sharing key success metrics for the Business Development team
Motivating and ensuring the team is equipped to surpass their sales goals
Managing commission and On Target Earning Calculations
Support the ongoing growth and development of the Business Development team by:
Career Development
Performance Appraisals
Leading Monthly Sales Meetings
Growing the Business Development team by forecasting future hiring needs and working with the People & Culture team to ensure a Category of One Candidate Experience for any open roles
Business Development Strategic Planning & Execution
Forecast sales trends and take appropriate, proactive action
Lead our New Market/New Product business development expansion plans
Own our client
Align and coordinate business development efforts with the Marketing and Client Care team
Forecast and own the annual budget for the Business Development team.
Create and execute on TLC's Value Selling Strategy
Identify and eliminate waste
Sales Execution
Generating new leads and managing their own sales pipeline through implementing and using effective sales generation strategies including attending relevant industry events
Exceeding or meeting personal sales targets while demonstrating a solid customer focus
Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will be:

An excellent communicator with a capability to manage and prioritize competing priorities.
Committed to developing and maintaining effective internal and external working relationships with all levels in the organization
Legally able to work in Canada
The successful candidate will have:
Minimum 3-5 years Business Development Leadership Experience
Proven results in growing revenue, gross margin & profit
Proven results in market expansion
Clean driving record and the ability to produce a drivers abstract and claims history letter
In addition to qualifications above, the following qualifications would be considered an asset:
Undergraduate degree, with preference for Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Sales and Marketing (an asset)
Valid passport and free to travel internationally
3-5 years' experience selling in the Service Industry
3-5 years' experience selling in the B2B IT industry
