Your Opportunity:

The Team Lead - Protective Services performs a leadership role in Protective Services and reports directly to the Manager, Protective Services. This position is responsible and accountable for providing the direction, team leadership and organization over the activities of Protective Services in support of the vision, mission and business plan of Alberta Health Services. The position is responsible and accountable for making frontline decisions and having direct leadership responsibility for contributing to the achievement of the goals of Protective Services.

This position is responsible and accountable for providing the direction, team leadership and organization over the activities of the Protective Services Team in support of the vision, mission and business plan of Alberta Health Services. The position is responsible and accountable for making unit-level decisions and having a leadership responsibility for contributing to the achievement of the goals of the Protective Services Department. The Team Lead for Protective Services will develop and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum High School diploma or equivalent. Must be eligible for appointment as a Community Peace Officer with enforcement duties involving the public, as identified by the Province of Alberta/Solicitor General. Successful completion of Alberta Health Services or Alberta Justice and Solicitor General Community Peace Officer Induction Training Program (6 weeks). Valid Class 5, non-GDL Driver\'s License. Valid PARE completed (under 4:45) within 6 months prior to training.
Additional Required Qualifications:

A minimum of five (5) years of related experience and/or relevant education. . Ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity (healthcare experience an asset). Public speaking capabilities. Proven multi-tasking and effective decision-making abilities in a fast paced, stressful environment. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development.
Preferred Qualifications:

2 years post-secondary education in Law Enforcement, Social Studies, or Security & Asset protection. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered. Health Care experience is an asset. 2 years Management Experience. Current First Aid and CPR Level C - AED certification
