Are you an experienced power engineer with front line leadership experience who enjoys mentoring, managing, and coordinating? We\'re seeking a team lead to join our Powerhouse Operations team in Fort McMurray.

In this role you are accountable for the day-to-day management of safe, stable, efficient and reliable production within the operating area and all aspects of personnel management at the frontline level.

Minimum Requirements:

Five or more years of field operations or related experience in utilities or the oil and gas industry

Supervisory or leadership experience in a complex, dynamic operating environment

Deep understanding of maintenance, operations, and process safety

2nd Class Power Engineering certification

High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s licence and a clean driving record

Key Accountabilities:

Oversee a unionized workforce in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement and ensure the safety, development and competency of the crew

Maintain a visible presence in the field to foster employee engagement and assess work process effectiveness

Ensure all aspects of the Alberta Boilers Safety Association regulations are implemented in accordance with the applicable codes and acts

Lead troubleshooting initiatives and engage appropriate cross-functional resources to analyze and correct operational and equipment problems

Prepare and review operational job plans by investigating work requirements, preparing logical breakdowns and sequencing of work tasks

Location & other key details

You will work out of our Base Plant site in Fort McMurray, Alberta

The shift schedule is a 6 on / 6 off rotation (3 days/3nights)

This position is safety sensitive

If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory

Relocation support will be provided; we offer competitive housing assistance to eligible individuals
