Team Lead Pick Tower (pm Shift)

Job Description


Position Summary:

The Team Lead- Pick Tower for the Afternoon shift, supports the Supervisor in by helping plan and organize the use of resources to ensure the daily production targets are achieved. Under the guidance and direction of his/her supervisor, this person will prepare the work tasks and assign such to help optimize the department\xe2\x80\x99s throughput and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and organizing tasks to meet daily production goals and helps monitor progress throughout the shift
  • Work with DC leadership to drive and/or support various projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate and/or provide training to associates to ensure that team members understand and adhere to all functional Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Support the on-boarding and training of new agency associates as required
  • Troubleshoot exceptions and resolve issues as they occur on a day-to-day basis
  • Run reports and use the information to inform the department Supervisor of status in their area of responsibility
  • Serve as area lead when Supervisor is absent due to meetings, etc.
  • Provide feedback to Supervisor regarding associate performance for FT/Seasonal/Temporary
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements and Skills:
  • Minimum 2 years of Distribution Centre experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with Warehouse Management Systems
  • Proficiency with a variety of computer hardware and software systems, including MS Outlook and Excel
  • Ability to problem solve and look for opportunities to positively drive our business
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment requiring adaptability and flexibility
  • Ability to learn quickly and transfer knowledge to others
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in cross functional departments as assigned
  • Ability to lead by example in supporting VF Canada values and ethics in the workplace
  • Ability to be flexible and to work extended hours including weekends as necessary
  • Ability to work at heights greater than 30 feet and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
