Purpose
:

Crescent Point is searching for a people-focused Team Lead that is primarily responsible for corporate records, governance and best practices regarding oil and gas records. The Team Lead will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the document management system for both electronic and physical records. The Team Lead must have strong interpersonal skills to support and mentor the team development and the departments overall goals and projects initiatives. In addition, the Team Lead should have a keen interest for digitally oriented organization and enthusiasm to inspire and cultivate purposeful change.

Main Responsibilities & Activities
:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain records management policies and procedures
  • Sponsor and support internal stakeholders with digital strategies
  • Liaise between technical support and internal stakeholders
  • Develop and administer Crescent Point’s record retention and disposition schedule
  • Supervise the daily operations of Information Management staff
  • Establish efficient and continuously improve processes for managing the overall Information Management function from document entry/classification to storage/retrieval to acquisition/disposition of records
  • Manage the transfer of both physical and electronic records in acquisition and disposition activity
  • Manage offsite storage, destruction, and third-party service agreements
  • Liaise with key business areas to define and maintain records management best practices and business efficiencies
  • Ensure the IM team responds to document and file requests for in a timely manner
  • Manage and support Information Management owned projects to ensure the successful completion of the IM project portfolio
  • Present and sell the value of project work to various stakeholders in the business
  • Perform other duties as required


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Post-secondary education in Records Management, Library Science, Business, Information Science or related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of record management experience with minimum 5 years of direct supervisory experience
  • Technical knowledge to understand and apply records management principles, concepts, tools and technologies
  • Work experience must demonstrate direct involvement with digital record initiatives
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry with understanding of digital impact
  • Knowledge of electronic document management systems
  • Proven success of implementing programs or projects
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent multi-tasking abilities and customer service skills are essential
  • Technical proficiency and interest in MS SharePoint, MS Teams and Office 365 would be considered an asset
  • Ability to quickly understand and analyze problems, develop alternatives and recommend solutions
  • Ability to plan and organize duties in a fast-paced environment is essential
  • Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and able to work independently
