The Team Lead of Family Support Services is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and operations of OHT Early Years and Early ON Child and Family Centre funded programs and services. The Team Lead will oversee a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including Registered Early Childhood Educators, Nurse/IBCLC, Dietician, and Social Worker.
Job Specific Responsibilities:
Administration
Oversee the planning and implementation of Family Support Programs, including parent/child programming, home visiting/parent support, and educational workshop.
Monitors annual budgets.
Completes funder and board required reports.
Reports on key metrics to evaluate and measure progress and achievement of goals and objectives.
In collaboration with the Manager, develops and implements both long-term and short-term quality plans, promotes a culture of quality improvement within the programs and facilitates families, children, and RECEs involvement in quality improvement.
Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and presents recommendations for changes and/or new initiatives to optimize these opportunities.
Coordinates community development/outreach/promotional activities.
Coordinates, administers, and participates in quality improvement projects in collaboration with external organizations and networks.
Chair team meetings and coordinates staff development plans, in accordance with quality improvement principles.
Represents agency at external networks and communities.
Human Resources
Responsible for hiring, supervision, evaluation, and all other related HR duties for Family Support program staff.
Ensure routine information related to payroll, benefits, and leaves are approved and submitted
Oversees integration of student and volunteer placements
Position Requirements:
Education
Diploma in Early Childhood Education, bachelor's degree or equivalent and education.
Registered and in good standing with College of Early Childhood Education.
Professional Experience:
Three to five years relevant experience, preferably in the Early Years/Family Support sector.
A minimum three years management experience.
Experience with program development/management.
Experience and sensitivity working with all families including those in an urban core setting, culturally diverse, racialized, 2SGLBTQIA+, young parents, etc.
Excellent knowledge of Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years; How Does Learning Happen
Extensive knowledge of community resources.

Demonstrated stress resilience and mental health stamina in the delivery of Family Support Programs.
Well-developed interpersonal skills including diplomacy, confidentiality, and good judgement as well as the ability to tailor your message to your audience from children through to adults.
