Our Red Chris Mine, located in the heart of Northern British Columbia on the traditional territory of the Tahltan Nation. A short distance from Iskut and Dease Lake, Our fly-in, fly-out site offers access from various points across British Columbia and Alberta. Your Impact



As Team Lead, Environment, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our operations meet environmental compliance standards. Your leadership will help maintain regulatory excellence, drive continuous improvement in monitoring practices, and contribute to our commitment to sustainable mining.



Essential Duties



The job scope for this role will include, but is not limited to:



Manage the Environmental Management System and key compliance programs Oversee data collection, reporting, and lab work Support and participate in environmental audits and inspections Lead investigations into environmental incidents and implement corrective actions Prepare regulatory reports and engage with external agencies when needed Provide leadership, guidance, and feedback to your team

Prerequisites for your Success in this Role:



Job requirments for this role include:



Technical qualification (minimum) in Environmental Science or related field is required 3+ years experience in environmental compliance, monitoring, and reporting Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and audit processes Previous Leadership experience is an asset. Ability to lead a small technical team Effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

Your Work Environment



Location: Mine site-based role with periodic travel to regulatory meetings. The role includes both office-based work and field-based environmental inspections within an active mining operation. Work Schedule: Rotational shift schedule with a mix of fieldwork and site-based office work. 2-weeks on, 2-weeks off rotating schedule Collaboration: Work closely with Site Operations, Health& Safety, and external regulators to achieve compliance goals.

The expected salary range for this role is CA$103,300 - $137,700/year with additional Travel Allowance and 15% Short term incentive target . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate's pay history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about pay history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
