Willowbrae Academy is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic

Team Lead

to join our

Crestmont location - 40 Crestridge Common SW.

As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for guiding and mentoring a team of early childhood educators, ensuring high-quality care and education for children in the Academy.

The Team Lead will work in ratio and be assigned to a regular classroom, but will have opportunities to leave their classroom to complete support and administrative tasks.

Qualifications

Level 3 certification Valid Criminal Record Check w/ Vulnerable Sector check (within past 6 months) First Aid and CPR certification Two professional references

Demonstrated strong leadership skills Ability to motivate/empower others Excellent verbal and written communication skills Creative and flexible problem-solving and decision-making skills Exhibit positive and professional work habits such as punctuality, dependability, and confidentiality Knowledge of Flight Curriculum Framework Knowledge of a variety of early childhood education philosophies, such as Montessori, Reggio Emilia/emergent, and High Scope

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Create an inspiring team environment with open communication Support frontline educators with classroom management and problem solving Mentor new employees (New Employee Orientation Program) Listen to team members' feedback and resolve/escalate accordingly Ensure requested documents and tasks are completed accurately and on time Suggest and organize team building and training activities
