Job Description

The Team Lead Dining Room (Maitre'd) is responsible for managing the front-of-house operations in the trattoria (cafe), ensuring exceptional customer service and a welcoming atmosphere. This role includes greeting guests, coordinating seating arrangements, overseeing the dining experience, and ensuring the barista area, pastry showcase, and beverage offerings are organized and ready for service

Responsibilities include:



Greeting and assisting in the seating of customers promptly, ensuring a warm and friendly welcome Monitoring the dining area to ensure smooth service flow, addressing any customer needs or concerns Training dining room staff with strict adherence to service standards and protocols Performing in the role of a Server at a high level of performance Liaising between the kitchen, expediter and runner to communicate orders and special requests Ensuring the barista area is organized and stocked with necessary supplies for efficient service Keeping the pastry display stocked, clean, and visually enticing for guests, highlighting our offerings Ensuring both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages are prepared, stocked, and ready for service Professionally handling customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints, demonstrating care and attention to detail Maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting atmosphere throughout the dining area, barista station, pastry showcase, and beverage area.Staying informed about menu items, daily specials, and beverage offerings to assist guests with recommendations Resolving issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages Ensuring that the objectives of the Italian Market are communicated, understood, and met by self and other staff members Ensuring that each and every guest of the Italian Market is satisfied with our products and services, addressing concerns, requests, or issues either individually or by enlisting the help of others Maintaining compliance to the standards of occupational health and safety legislation
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 37.5 per week
