About the Opportunity


Reporting to the Manager, the Team Lead is responsible for the organization and the supervision of the daily operation of the specialty areas in the Division of Diagnostic Imaging at Nova Scotia Health. In addition the above-noted supervisory role, the successful applicant will also perform clinical duties within their fields of competency.

About You


We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology
  • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
    Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • Minimum (3) three years\xe2\x80\x99 experience required working as a technologist in a hospital setting; (5) five years is preferred
  • Formal management course preferred
  • Strong leadership skills, with demonstrated progressive leadership responsibilities in a multi-modality/site imaging department.
  • Ensures competency, maintains an ongoing interest in updating knowledge on new equipment and procedures
  • Practices excellent patient care; demonstrating courtesy, kindness and understanding using effective communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills that demonstrate the ability to prioritize upon short notice while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
  • Well-developed decision making, analytical, interpretation, negotiation, and problem solving skills
  • Conflict management skills and knowledge of appropriate resources
  • Working knowledge of computers, including MS-Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours


  • Permanent full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
  • Shift work may be required
  • Monday to Friday days; with the possibility of occasional evenings, weekends and call


Compensation and Incentives


$33.31 - $42.06 hourly Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
