Rogers is seeking a Team Lead Cyber Security Rogers Bank in the Information & Cyber Security Unit (ICSU), focusing on Rogers Bank and Cyber Security Governance. This individual will be responsible for supporting adherence to regulatory requirements and information security standards. Ensure policies and processes are properly designed and controls are operating effectively to meet regulatory and security requirements. Design and implement leadership level reporting for cyber security updates.

Reporting to a Sr. Manager of Cyber Security Governance & Rogers Bank at the Rogers Brampton Campus, this individual will have the following responsibilities:

What you will be doing:

  • Program Governance:
  • Develop and manage delivery of comprehensive cyber security program plan for Rogers Bank
  • Lead cyber security governance function for Rogers Bank, coordinating and managing multiple project initiatives, deadlines and deliverables with various stakeholders
  • Collaborate and build effective working relationships with colleagues across technology and the business to achieve cyber security objectives
  • Communicate compliance and information risks to stakeholders and leadership
  • Risk Management:
  • Maintain knowledge of the information security environment, including development of new attacks and threats
  • Perform security and control assessments to identify key risks and gaps
  • Provide recommendations and communicate mitigation strategies to key stakeholders based on regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Identify and evaluate technology risks, internal controls to mitigate risks, and related opportunities for continuous control improvement
  • Drive audit readiness and provide support for Cyber Security and Privacy audits
  • Provide 1st line risk assessments (projects and vendors) as needed
  • Develop strategic reporting view of compliance and information risk across key functions for leadership
  • Controls Management:
  • Work with key stakeholders to assess changes to regulatory requirements and standards to identify impacts to internal policies and standards
  • Utilize technical writing skills to translate regulatory requirements into formal updates to security policies, standards, processes, and controls
  • Collaborate with teams cross functionally to publish and socialize updates to policies and standards
Experience & Education:
  • Undergraduate degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or emphasis in technology or related field
  • 5+ years of experience with information security, IT Audit and/or Security Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC)
  • 2+ years of experience in the financial services, preferably a major Canadian financial institution
  • Candidates must have had exposure to technology in a large, complex, regulated financial services enterprise
  • Knowledge of OSFI regulations, banking standard processes and Canadian regulatory regime
  • Working knowledge of Technology Risk and Cyber Security control frameworks (e.g. OSFI, NIST, COBIT, ISF, ISO 27001/5, COBIT)
  • Experience interpreting industry and regulatory requirements and authoring supporting controls
  • Experience with developing and delivering program plans
  • Knowledge of the national and international evolving cyber security threat landscape including evolving trends and developments, cybersecurity products, vendors, and industry best practices
  • Demonstrated knowledge of concepts, best practices, and controls in information security domains, including access controls, vulnerability management, incident management, cloud security, third party risk management and governance
Skills:
  • CISSP, CISA, CISM, CA, PCIP, QSA or similar certification are assets
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrable understanding of how to network and develop working relationships with various key stakeholders
  • Strong business and technical acumen
  • Strong analytical, research, writing, and communication skills
  • Communicates effectively with meaningful and articulate verbal discussions
  • Creates clear and coherent written materials
  • Synthesizes information into succinct, concise, and logical summaries and reports
  • Ability to work with teams to achieve goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Works well under pressure and time constraints and can prioritize competing priorities appropriately
  • Self-driven individual that can work independently with minimal supervision and direction
