Rate:

$34.71 - $41.38 per hour

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Team Lead will supervise the day-to-day delivery of high-quality client services, staff orientation, supervision and development, quality improvement, and program development and implementation. The Team Lead will supervise the delivery of the Crisis Stabilization Beds and Community Homes for Opportunity programs for clients including the development of individualized support plans, the delivery of supportive counselling, crisis prevention and intervention, skills development (life skills, social skills, interpersonal and problem solving skills) and vocational and leisure support. This individual will be involved in various interdepartmental and community committees to identify and provide comprehensive services. The Team Lead will be required to work closely with management and other colleagues to assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of new policies, procedures and initiatives.

HOURS OF WORK



The Team Lead will work a thirty-five (35) hour week, the hours being flexible to the needs of the staff, clients and program. The position will participate in the agency's Manager On-call rotation.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS



Bachelor's degree in a health-related field is required; membership within a regulatory college considered a strong asset. Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in the field of healthcare; unionized supervisory experience considered a strong asset. Three (3) to five (5) years of experience working in mental health, addictions or supportive housing. Must be an energetic self-starter who is able to function comfortably in a team environment or independently and relates well to co-workers and the public. Ability to manage time and multiple tasks with little supervision. Strong organizational, problem solving, critical thinking and program execution skills. Above average writing ability; ability to analyze written reports, complex documents and publications. Ability to support performance management and improvement as needed. High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability. Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and ability to execute on decisions made. The ability to travel and provide own, reliable transportation Able to successfully complete and provide a current Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
