The Team Lead, Payroll Operations is recognized as the functional expert within HR Shared Services to effectively manage and administer Pay Processing and oversee a team of 13 Payroll professionals. Reporting to the Manager of Payroll Operations this position is responsible and accountable for assisting in providing payroll preparation, processing and operations for 130,000+ AHS, Alberta Precision Laboratories, Covenant Health and Carewest employees. The Team Lead is responsible for providing a high level of quality service to all stakeholders while assuring compliance with all applicable federal and provincial regulations, and company policies. In addition, this position assists with the completion of year end T4 preparation. Completion of metrics for statistical reporting and performing quality checks for accuracy. Leads a Team in all activities related to a complex payroll production in an integrated payroll/human resources/finance system. Leads, coaches and develops a diverse team in the provision of payroll processing and operations linking performance with organizational goals and objectives.
