Position 
 The at the University of Alberta invites applications for a full-time Teaching Professor at the rank of assistant, associate or full lecturer, with an anticipated starting date of July 1, 2026 to teach all levels of courses in Sociology. 
Responsibilities: 
 The successful candidate will provide in-person instruction for a range of Sociology courses ranging from large lecture classes to smaller seminars. Standard teaching load is eight courses per year and includes Spring or Summer teaching. The focus of the position is research methods, including social statistics, with the possibility of teaching courses in other fields such as (but not limited to) Introduction to Sociology, Social Problems, or Criminology. There is no research component associated with this position, although the successful candidate is expected to remain current with the relevant literature in their fields as it applies to their teaching assignments.
