Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Music Teaching Assistant to support our musical educational team in fostering a positive learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, particularly those with special needs, and will be committed to helping all students achieve their Musical goals. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to engage with students of varying abilities.

Duties

Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities. Provide one-on-one support to students, particularly those with disabilities or special educational needs. Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents regarding student progress. Support students in their Musical journey by reinforcing concepts taught in class. Assist in the preparation of instructional materials and classroom resources. Observe and document student behavior and progress for assessment purposes. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance musical skills.

Skills

Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents. Experience working with children, especially in an educational setting. Knowledge of special education practices and strategies for working with individuals with disabilities. Background in early childhood education is highly desirable. Ability to educate and engage students in playing musical instruments. Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children succeed musically and socially.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.80-$20.00 per hour
