Course Description:

From the subapostolic age to the "Triumph of Orthodoxy" in the East and the Carolingian revival and Treaty of Verdun in the West. Geographical expansion of the church; the relation of Christian faith to cultural settings and other religions; the development of doctrinal and ethical positions; forms of Christian life and worship; the rise of Islam.


Qualifications:

Current enrolment in a doctoral program in theological studies (PhD).


Brief Description of Duties:

Examples of Potential Tasks


Marking/grading - assignments, essays mid-term end of term tests, examinations Holding office hours-meeting with students On-line or email consultation with students Conducting tutorials/seminars Exam/test invigilation Facilitation of on-line group discussions o Preparation - e.g. of tutorial/lecture notes Reading course materials Attending lectures Clerical - e.g. photocopying materials Meeting with Supervisor

Salary:

$52.97 per hour + 4% vacation pay

Mondays, 7 PM to 9 PM (online)
