151.5 hours per positionPosition Summary:Only registered McGill students can be hired as TAsContract Period: Tuesday, September 03, 2024 to Friday, December 23, 2024.Review of experimental procedures and specific critical steps.Supervise laboratory experiments.Answer technical and theoretical questions on the laboratory experiments.Ensure safe procedures and manipulation in the laboratory.Correct and grade lab reports, quizzes, and final exam.Be available by email, zoom and by appointment to answer any questions.Attend weekly one hour TA meetings with course coordinators.Qualifications:Only registered McGill students can be hired as TAsStudent enrolled in the Graduate Program in the Department of Biochemistry.Have at least one (1) year experience in the Graduate Program.TAs must have taken this laboratory course in the past years.Have taken the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and Waste Management courses from Environmental Health and Safety or equivalent.Language Requirements:Effective communication skills in English are essential.
