Teaching Assistant - Indigenous Studies

In the appointment of Teaching Assistant, your general duties and responsibilities will be:
Mandatory attendance of the in-person INDG 107 class, online grading of assignments via Canvas. Assignments include: reflective work, short online essay preparation assignments and an essay that must conform to one of three topics and consist of at least 6 academic sources with a mandatory article. Teaching Assistants will have access to all required materials to assist in grading including but not limited to grading rubrics, articles, class materials, etc. All TA\'s will also be required to attend a one-hour weekly TA meeting (via Zoom), attend two grading workshop sessions through the term and attend two performance review meetings with their supervisor. All meetings, workshops and class attendance are remunerated.

Your general location of work can be from a graduate student office in Kirk Hall or from an approved location (home office) and you will report to Swapna Padmanabha.

Required Number of Hours: 12 hours per week for 15 weeks

Duration of Employment: 2023-2024 Winter Session

Qualifications (Skills and Abilities)
Minimum of a Bachelor\'s degree and completion of INDG 107.3 with a grade of 80% or higher. (Alternatively, similar course work may be approved by the Course Coordinator)

You must be registered in a graduate program at the University of Saskatchewan.

Preference will be given to students with a major or minor in Indigenous Studies.

Applicants who are not UofS graduate students will not be considered.
