Course Description:
Students work in interdisciplinary seminar groups on challenging philosophical, ethical, scientific and practical issues. They will explore cutting-edge ideas and grapple with the reconciliation of environmental imperatives and social, political and economic pragmatics. Activities include meeting practitioners, attending guest lectures, following directed readings, and organizing, leading and participating in seminars.
Qualifications and Position Summary:Assignment grading and providing quality feedback to students on their work
Advising students on effective academic essay writing
Reading all class materials assigned to the class
Facilitating class discussions (as needed)
Participating in meetings of teaching staff
Holding office hours
Excellence in assessment of student work and in advising students on essay creation
Background in social science, the humanities, environmental studies or related field.
Demonstrated experience with the use of a virtual learning platform [e.g., Zoom, WebEx] to prepare and assist with remote delivery of course material. Experience with MyCourses.
