Position Summary:

Assist in preparation of all lab materials required for each in-person lab activity. Supervise lab sessions and provide students with explanations of lab material. Assist with quiz and exam corrections. Help with monitoring/managing group activities during lecture period. TA is required to be on Mac campus by first week of September and available Tuesday a.m. for lab set up.



Qualifications:
Applicants should have a background in soils and/or ecology, a good command of English. Applicants should be skilled in using MyCourses and other relevant software i.e., Zoom, MS Office. Good knowledge of written and spoken English and French is an asset. Must have a valid W.H.M.I.S. certificate.
Candidates must be available to work the entire contract period. When applying for the positions below, please first consult the up-to-date Fall 2025 McGill class schedule on Minerva to avoid any conflicts.Please note that Teaching Assistants will be required on campus to perform their tasks in person. Should anything prohibit in-person teaching activities, courses will revert to remote teaching. In the event of such a change, Teaching Assistants will be advised as soon as possible. Teaching Assistants may be required to perform tasks suited to a remote/online teaching environment using a virtual learning platform [e.g., Zoom, WebEx] and the McGill myCourses learning management system.
