This posting is for one unionized contractual appointment. A Teaching Assistant is a Graduate Student employed to assist the Course Supervisor as a Teaching Assistant in a classroom environment. Teaching Assistant Positions are governed by the Collective Agreement between McGill University and the Association of Graduate Students Employed at McGill (AGSEM).

EDER 309-001 The Religious Quest

The Teaching Assistant will assist with the preparation of the course material, leading discussions, supervising individual projects, office hours, answering inquiries, providing feedback on the presentations. The TA will also support in class sessions and assess students\' work related to course objectives.

Position Summary:

  • The TA would be responsible for the following: facilitate a discussion and assist students with material and assignment.
  • They will hold weekly office hours; grade assignments, keep records; distribute and copy reading materials; prepare at least one lecture and attend 3 classes.
Qualifications:
  • The TA should have experience and be knowledgeable in religious literacy and different religious faiths.
  • And lastly, have a firm understands how to apply equity and navigate diversity and inclusion in the classroom.
  • McGill graduate students at the masters or doctorate level
  • DISE students will be given priority.
Experience with research methods, including but not limited to quantitative, philosophical, qualitative, arts-based, and mixed methods.

Knowledge of developing a research proposal.

Hourly Salary: $33.03
