Teaching Assistant - Department of Music

In the appointment of Teaching Assistant, your general duties and responsibilities will be:

The UofS College of Arts and Science will be supporting a TA position within the Department of Music to assist the Online Instructional Team with grading during both the Fall 2022 and Winter 2023 sessions. These positions pertain to the MUS 101 Fundamentals of Music and MUS 111 History of Popular Music courses. This TA position will require the equivalent of 87 hours per term. The majority of time will be concentrated around assignment and final exam grading periods, and it is the applicant\'s responsibility to be available for grading during those periods.

Your general location of work will be the remote and you will report to Allison Fairbairn.

Required Number of Hours: 173 hours during the academic year or 87 hours per term

Qualifications (Skills and Abilities)
This position is best suited for applicants with a significant music background. Prior classes in the Humanities and/or Social Sciences, as well as some knowledge of gender theory, critical race theory, and familiarity with some online learning management systems (e.g., Canvas) are to be considered assets.
