Teaching Assistant - Department of Music
The University of Saskatchewan College of Arts and Science will be supporting a TA position within the Department of Music to assist with grading during the Winter 2024 session. This position pertains to the EMUS 115.3 Introduction to Music Education course. This grading support TA position will require the equivalent of 87 hours per term which on average is 5 hours per week. The majority of grading time will be concentrated around assignment submission periods as well as facilitating microteaching sessions, and it is the applicant\'s responsibility to be available for grading during those periods.
Job Duties:
Grading support for EMUS 115.3 Introduction to Music Education (can be done remotely)
Facilitation of Student Microteaching sessions (must be available in person)
Your general location of work will be the Department of Music, Education Building and you will report to Dr. Jennifer Lang.
Required Number of Hours: 87 hours during the academic term or 5 hours per week

Qualifications (Skills and Abilities)
This position is best suited for applicants with a significant music and education background.
Prior classes in music education as well as some knowledge of online learning management
systems (e.g., Canvas) are to be considered assets.
