POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Teacher/Tutor at Back to the Basics, you'll play a meaningful role in helping students thrive both academically and personally.
You'll bring learning to life through creative, inclusive, and wellness-focused approaches that spark curiosity and build confidence.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that support academic growth and development. Provide individualized tutoring sessions tailored to each student's goals and learning style. Create positive, inclusive, and mindful learning environments where students feel safe and supported. Integrate movement, mindfulness, and creativity into daily lessons. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and strategies for continued success. Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs, including students with special education requirements. Encourage self-awareness, resilience, and curiosity as part of every student's learning journey.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Experience working with children or youth in an educational, recreational, or childcare setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A passion for education, mentorship, and youth development.
Assets:

Diploma or degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field. Experience in mindful or wellness-based learning environments. Classroom management, lesson planning, or tutoring experience. Comfort using technology or digital tools to enhance learning.
