S.M.A.R.T. Tutoring and Test Preparation Services is hiring qualified

TEACHERS and TEACHER- CANDIDATES

(with Transitional Certificates) to provide in-home tutoring services to elementary students in the following subjects:

Grade 1 - 8 Mathematics Grade 1 - 8 Language (Reading, Writing)

S.M.A.R.T. Tutor Description

Provide objective-based academic support and study strategies. Teach short lessons, give applicable activities, and document progress. Communicate policies and schedule weekly 50-minute sessions with clients. Respond to emails and submit Word formatted documentation on time

Skills

Strong communication skills to clearly explain information Organizational skills to manage time and complete documentation Self-confidence to take initiative and work independently

Working Conditions

Tutor in Orillia, ON and the surrounding area Work with the same students and their families on a consistent weekly basis Collaborate with an award-winning team of like-minded, local teachers Use shared resources that align with the Ontario Curriculum

Work Hours

Schedule your own working hours (minimum 4 hours per week) Tutoring happens after school (September - June) 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm Summer Review/ Preview Sessions (July - August) 9:00 am - 8:00 pm
